20 things to be thankful for this saturday

1) that I passed my belt test in karate and now have a "yellow-stripe" belt

2) that Sensei passed me even though my stomp was weird

3) red mini-coopers (I might even like them better than the electric blue)

4) my best friend Wendy who I called so we could figure out how to IM each other on MySpace

5) that I was asked to be the "best man" at my brother's wedding

6) for our friends in VT

7) having my slinky at work

8) Wii avatars

9) all my special little fluffy bunnies over the years

10) Forrest Woodland Creature and his happy dance

11) butterflies - as a symbol and especially the Blue Hairstreaks

12) girl power

13) that I taught my nieces to say "Girls rule and boys drool"

14) the disgusting cookbook my brother and I created when we were kids (i.e. - most recipes called for vomit or toilet water or other gross things)

15) having a secret language that I made up as a kid (the only other person who understood was my brother)

16) having a friend you can laugh with so hard that your gut hurts

17) getting my mojo back

18) my gastric bypass surgery and the work before, after, and now

19) vomiting when I eat too much (my body does this automatically and it reminds me to take it slow and chew and listen to my body -- I need the brick in the forehead every once in a while)

20) the songs and lyrics of Elvis Costello

I realized that I mentioned vomit a few too many times. Just for the record, I do not enjoy or like to vomit. However, I have to admit I sometimes like toilet humor so if you have a good vomit story to share I will probably enjoy it with a certain gross fascination.
